Although I’d only just finished my latest post, I already felt like writing a new one when I was out in the woods this morning.
The story on how I’ve finally managed to incorporate sports into my life in a healthy way is not only about running, mountain biking, skating or surprisingly showing up in aerobics classes… Hiking is important as well. It may sound like it’s really something, but it’s just about taking long walks with furry friends and two-legged, not so furry ones.
Knowing how difficult it can be to get together with friends (especially when there are little two-legged friends involved) I’ve arranged with one of my besties to go for a walk every Sunday morning, unless we really really really have something else to do. Like being on another planet or having no one to babysit the little two-legged minion at home.
Things are going great: we’ve managed to go hiking more often than not and every weekend since January the weather has been very different, ranging from icy cold over beautifully misty and dully gray to nice ‘n sunny. We love experimenting with photography while the furry ones roam heather lands and small woods, and the changing weather is a great gift that allows interesting variation in our pictures.
One thing I’ll always do is to take pictures of our route’s signposts:
Updates will follow!
As promised, the first update. These are from our walk at Woensdrecht Airport. Hence the long fence and intimidating signs.
This time we went for a very local walk at about 1k from home.
Feel free to share stories on your love for photography, maybe you’ve also discovered your own beloved theme? Or you’ve found a way to regularly meet with friends in spite of your busy life?
